Facebook adds Search Ads into the Ad Placements

Facebook this month included the ad campaigns using Automatic Placements on the Facebook Search Results. There is a limitation: the feature is only available to English and Spanish search terms. According to Facebook, the Facebook Search Results placement includes search result pages including general search and Marketplace search.

Facebook says that the Facebook Search Ads are designed to fit the experience on the given search results surface, and the ads look similar to News Feed ads, having the same transparency and controls, including a “Sponsored” label.

Advertisers that don’t want to have your ad campaigns on search results can unselect “Automatic Placements”, and on placements, advertisers need to make sure to deselect Facebook Search Results and/or Marketplace placements.
