Facebook yesterday stated that Facebook Watch has reached 1.25 billion unique visitors per month. Facebook Watch was launched globally on August 29, 2018.
On Facebook Watch users can watch live events, shows, sports, news or music videos. Facebook says it users curation and machine learning to make it easier for people to find more videos they’ll like.
Last even was the streaming of UEFA Champions League final. According to Facebook, over 13.7 million people tuned in to watch the UEFA Champions League final, making it the most-watched football broadcast on Facebook.
Facebook Watch and YouTube are competing to become the new TV. Last year, Google said it had 2 billion monthly users on YouTube.
