VIOOH, the digital out-of-home supply-side platform, appointed Ludovic Menard as Chief Product Officer, marking his return to the company after a three-year stint at advertising technology firm Teads. The appointment, announced today, fills the position previously held by Jon Block, who departed in late 2024 after a five-year tenure.

In his new role, Menard assumes responsibility for product strategy and data operations across VIOOH's technology stack. His appointment comes at a crucial point for the London-headquartered company, which currently operates programmatic trading in 24 markets through partnerships with more than 40 demand-side platforms.

According to VIOOH CEO Jean-Christophe Conti, Menard's expertise in programmatic advertising and platform development aligns with the company's expansion plans. "With even more ambitious plans for international growth and product development this year, I'm confident Ludo is just the person to help VIOOH accelerate its strategic agenda," Conti stated in the announcement.

Menard's professional background spans 19 years in advertising technology and business transformation. Prior to his recent position as VP Product at Teads, he served as Vice President of Products at VIOOH from July 2018 to June 2022, where he led the development of both programmatic and direct sales products. His earlier career includes roles at JCDecaux, where he headed group IS sales projects from August 2016 to July 2018, and positions at InovenAltenor and Criteo.

The executive's technical expertise extends beyond traditional advertising technology. According to his professional credentials, Menard holds certifications in advanced cyber security and big data analysis. His engineering background from Ecole Centrale de Nantes complements his business education at HEC Paris, where he studied corporate strategy and change management.

During his previous tenure at VIOOH, Menard's leadership resulted in product launches across more than 15 countries, despite resource constraints and complex integration requirements. According to Phoebe W., a former colleague at VIOOH, Menard demonstrated "deep understanding of the industry's challenges, opportunities, business strategies and user requirements."

The appointment reflects VIOOH's focus on technical innovation in the digital out-of-home sector. The company, established in 2018, operates a supply-side platform that connects media buyers and sellers in the premium marketplace. The platform emphasizes data-driven capabilities and programmatic trading, aiming to integrate out-of-home advertising into broader digital marketing strategies.

VIOOH's current market presence spans two dozen territories, with its technology facilitating programmatic trading through extensive DSP partnerships. The company's platform handles both traditional and programmatic out-of-home advertising transactions, requiring sophisticated yield management and business intelligence systems.

Menard's expertise in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and customer relationship management systems suggests a potential emphasis on these technologies in VIOOH's future product development. His previous work at Criteo involved treasury and cash management transformation, indicating experience in scaling financial operations for technology platforms.

The digital out-of-home sector continues to evolve with the integration of programmatic trading capabilities. VIOOH's platform serves as an intermediary between traditional outdoor media owners and digital media buyers, necessitating complex technical solutions for inventory management and transaction processing.

Menard has commenced his role effective immediately, returning to VIOOH's London headquarters. The transition occurs as the company pursues expansion in programmatic digital out-of-home advertising across international markets.
