Google this month announced the introduction of Side Rail Ads, a new AdSense ad format that stick to the sides of pages when viewed on widescreen devices, such as desktops.
The Side Rail Ads appeared for the first time on 13 December 2022 for web publishers using Google AdSense.
Side rail ads are part of Auto ads and can be turned off by publishers in Auto ads settings.
