Google yesterday launched, in beta, a Video Content Explorer in Ad Manager. According to Google, Content Explorer provides publishers with a visual walkthrough of their video content library, grouped by relevant information, such as the content metadata or content bundles.
It also allows publishers to explore data based on content groups to better understand and allow advertisers to reach specific audiences.
Only Ad Manager 360 video publishers using content ingestion have access to Content Explorer. A new tab on Ad Manager, under Video.
Publishers with access to Video Content Explorer can have insights on
Audience segment insights
Demographics-based audience segments where the most impressions served. Audience insights data reflects impressions matching publishers’ active first-party segments.
Sell-through rate
The predicted available impressions and reserved impressions for this inventory.
Top bundles
Your video content bundles where the most impressions served.
Top content
Your video content with the most impressions served.
Top device
Devices where the most impressions were served.
Top series
The series or shows with the most impressions served.
Traffic forecast
The previous week’s traffic compared to a 5‑week traffic forecast.
The roadmap for the Content Explorer in Ad Manager
Google says in future will bring Google audience data into the insights, like demographics. Plus content-level graphs and insights associated with content bundles or key-values.
