Google last week launched Related Search for Auto ads in AdSense, a new feature displaying search terms related to the content of the pages that users are viewing.

When a user selects a suggested search term, it is taken to a search results page where they can see AdSense for Search ads and relevant results from the publisher's site.

Related search for Auto ads is a navigational unit and not an ad, so it does not count towards the ad load on the page. It is also available to all publishers, so anyone can start using it immediately. To turn on related search for Auto ads, publishers simply need to visit their Auto ads settings page.

Google says that related search for Auto ads can help publishers to:

  • Increase site engagement: Related search for Auto ads can help users to discover more content on the publisher's site that is relevant to their interests.
  • Generate relevant search ads: Google can deliver AdSense for Search ads that are relevant to the user's search terms.
  • Drive additional revenue: Related search for Auto ads can help publishers to generate additional search ads revenue by driving more traffic to their site search results.
