Google this month announced the launch of programmatic ads for Web Stories. Web Stories are a full-screen AMP tappable experience that immerses readers in content.
According to Google, until now publishers were monetizing their Web Stories via direct-sold ads and affiliate links, but now the Web Stories Ads are available in Ad Manager and AdSense, globally.
Google says the Web Stories ads are available in open beta in AdSense and Ad Manager for publishers. Advertisers can buy these ads via Google Display Ads.
Varun Rao, Web Stories Product Manager at Google, wrote that "the frequency and position of Story ads in the context of your Web Story is dynamically determined to optimize both user experience and monetization potential."
