Google postpones Accelerated Delivery sunset to October

Google this week postponed the Accelerated Delivery sunset to October. Ramil Sobti, Product Manager at Google Ads, wrote that budgets using Accelerated Delivery will be automatically switched to Standard Delivery, starting October 7, 2019. The previous announced date for the sunset was September 17, 2019.

Accelerated Delivery allows advertisers to prioritize the budget spend when possible. On Standard Delivery, Google optimizes the spend to be reflective of targeted inventory user search, and the budget is spent during the entire day. The only option that will exist, starting October 7, will be Standard Delivery.

Google recommends to use ad scheduling to increase or decrease bids during certain times of the day.
