Google yesterday updated Google Analytics 4 search bar, at the top of Google Analytics. The search bar at the top of GA4 now enables advertisers to find information about the current property or to navigate to other Google Analytics 4 property.

When a user searches for the property ID or property name of the other property, a web stream measurement ID (i.e., “G-XXXXXXX”) in the other property, or an app stream ID (i.e., “XXXXXXX”) in the other property, the result will enable the advertiser to navigate to the respective Google Analytics 4 property. Google says that Analytics shows up to 7 properties that match the search query.

When a user searches for the keyword “Property”, the current property ID or property name, the search result enables the advertiser to open the settings for the property.

The search for the keyword “Account”, the current account ID or account name enables users to open the settings for the account.

The keyword “Tracking”, a web stream measurement ID (i.e., “G-XXXXXXX”), or an app stream ID (i.e., “XXXXXXX”) enables advertisers to open the details for a web or app data stream.
