“Local” and “Near Me” are the search trends for small businesses, Google reveals

Google this week released an infograph where it states that is having 350 times more search interest in “local” + “near me” than there was 10 years ago.

Why is this important? A from American Express, 67 cents of every dollar is spent at a small business in the US.

Google says that search interest in “local shops” hit a record last year, and search interest in “local coffee shopts” hi an all-time high. After this search, the champions are “local flower shops,” “local print shops,” and local tire shops.”

The top states searching for local shops in 2019 are West Virginia, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and South Carolina.
