Meta to merge Ad Topics and Interest Categories controls
Via Ad Topics controls users can choose to see fewer ads about certain topics, including alcohol, parenting, pets and social issues, elections or politics.
Meta yesterday announced it will consolidate the Ad Topics and Interest Categories controls into a single Ad Topics control, starting on April 11, 2022.
Ad Topics control will cover a more extensive set of ad topics, and users will be able to access it on both Facebook and Instagram.
Via Ad Topics control, users can set preferences on how advertisers can target them via interest targeting categories.
