Pinterest today launched conversion optimization on their ad platform. Conversion optimization is a new campaign type that optimizes Promoted Pins for specific actions, rather than just clicks.
Advertisers can now choose conversions as a campaign objective, and take specific actions like online checkouts, increased signups or leads.

According to Pinterest, by using conversion optimization, brands like Gravity Blankets achieved a 2x increase in sales and a 58% lower cost per acquisition.
Promoted Video is also available to advertisers who have traffic or conversion goals.
