Google this week introduced podcast episodes on the Google search results. Google says there are more than two million podcasts on the web that now surface on search results.
According to Google, soon will not be necessary to use the term “podcast” in the search to see podcast episodes. Google displays the episodes based on Google’s understanding of what’s being talked about on a podcast.
Google says that it will make available more options for podcast publishers in the future. Podcasters will be able to specify where users can listen to their podcasts, meaning that some podcasts may be exclusively available by purchase or subscription.
