Spotify reaches 100 million paid subscribers in 79 countries
In the first quarter of 2019, Spotify had 217 million monthly active users (MAUs) and 100 million paid subscribers.

Spotify today announced it has reached 100 million paid subscribers in 79 countries. Spotify says this is an important milestone after more than 10 years since the launch and one year since Spotify became a public company.
In the first quarter of 2019, Spotify had 217 million monthly active users (MAUs) and 100 million paid subscribers. This represented $126 million in ad revenue and $1385 million in paid subscriptions revenue.
Spotify has more users in Europe (36%), North America (29%), Latin America (22%), and in the rest of the world (13%). Spotify was launched in India late February, and as of now, it has more than 2 million users in India.
Subscribers by region reflect also the importance of Europe for Spotify (40%), then North America (30%), Latin America (20%) and the rest of the world (10%).
