TikTok this week announced a partnership with Internet Matters to keep young people safe. Internet Matters is a nonprofit organization, based in London, UK, set up to help parents keep their children safe online.
TikTok says will work together with Internet Matters to educate families about the importance of digital wellbeing and address common challenges such as peer pressure online.
TikTok will also invest in the development of new in-app features and measures that promote a safe online community and provide tools for parents, schools, and users that will help them enjoy the online environment safely.
“Parents regularly tell us they feel their child has a superior knowledge of the latest apps and new technologies. They want to know more about what positive steps they can take to keep their children safe in the digital world. Working in partnership with TikTok can ensure that we provide the very best advice and support for families when they need it most.”Carolyn Bunting, Internet Matters CEO
