TripleLift, a supply-side platform specializing in creative digital advertising, announced today the appointment of Dave Helmreich as its new chief executive officer. According to the company's announcement, Helmreich will focus on accelerating strategic initiatives and expanding the company's market position in digital advertising technology.
Helmreich brings over two decades of experience in software-as-a-service and technology-enabled services within the marketing, media, and advertising sectors. According to his professional background, he most recently served as chief commercial officer at Innovid, where he led global sales functions, marketing, revenue operations, and customer success for the connected TV advertising platform.
During his tenure at Innovid, Helmreich demonstrated significant impact on business performance. According to his prior role description, he helped drive double-digit revenue growth while transitioning the company to a pure software model and transforming its go-to-market strategies. His leadership resulted in a 100% increase in ramped sales efficiency within 18 months while maintaining flat Sales & Marketing costs.
The appointment follows a period of substantial growth for TripleLift. In May 2024, the company launched Adaptive Commerce Solutions, designed specifically for retail and commerce buyers. This development marked TripleLift's position as the first Supply-Side Platform to support Amazon Ads Native Responsive eCommerce format on third-party supply.
Eric Roza, Operating Managing Director at Vista Equity Partners and TripleLift board member, emphasized Helmreich's technical expertise and commercial understanding. According to Roza, "Dave is a consummate leader, entrepreneur, and operator with over two decades of AdTech and MarTech experience. Combining technical depth and commercial acumen, Dave is a people-centered leader with a deeply analytical mind."
Prior to his role at Innovid, Helmreich held several significant positions in the technology sector. According to his professional history, he served as Chief Revenue Officer at Stackline, where he achieved over 50% ARR growth and 70% bookings growth year-over-year. His experience also includes leadership roles at Oracle Marketing Cloud, where he managed hundreds of millions in SaaS revenues annually.
Helmreich's military background adds a unique dimension to his leadership profile. According to his career history, he served as a Naval Aviator in the US Navy from 1992 to 1998, completing over 40 combat missions over Iraq and Bosnia. He later served as a Senior Military Instructor at the United States Naval Academy, teaching leadership and psychology.
Rod Aliabadi, Managing Director at Vista Equity Partners, noted the strategic importance of the appointment. According to Aliabadi, "TripleLift enables its customers to make the most of every impression with the level of precision, scale and creativity required to elevate brands in an increasingly crowded digital environment."
The company's recent developments extend beyond leadership changes. Last week, TripleLift was selected as an early beta participant for Amazon Ads' new traffic signal sharing and shaping tool, Dynamic Traffic Engine, further strengthening its relationship with the e-commerce giant.
Helmreich expressed his vision for the role, stating, "For too long, technology has been used solely to optimize processes and squeeze margins, while the role of creative has been largely overlooked. With its strong foundation in native and cutting-edge creative technology, TripleLift is redefining the advertising landscape."
As the largest minority-owned SSP in the industry, TripleLift continues to focus on delivering value-driven outcomes while supporting diversity in digital advertising. The appointment of Helmreich marks a new chapter in the company's strategic growth trajectory within the digital advertising technology sector.
