Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, and Vigo Video were the top 5 social apps installed in 2018
Facebook continues to be the number 1 social networking app on overall downloads, especially due to the first position in the Google Play store. However, on Apple Store, TikTok was the number 1 app installed worldwide, according to SensorTower data.
Julia Chan, Market Analyst at SensorTower, says Facebook and TikTok accounted for 50 percent of the top 10 apps’ total installs.
The numbers are not so different in the US, where Facebook was also the number 1 app to be downloaded in 2018. Facebook had more than 41 million downloads in 2018. The next social app more installed in 2018 was Instagram, followed by Snapchat, TikTok, and Pinterest.
