Google introduces auction insights into Google Ads' Report Editor

Google this month introduced auction insights in the Report Editor of Google Ads. Auction Insights reports are available in the Predefined reports, and Auction Insights tab.

According to Google, the auction insights report enables advertisers to compare performance with other advertisers who are participating in the same auctions.

This report is available for both Search and Shopping campaigns. Auction insights are available in Report Editor at the account and manager account level. Before, the auction insights were only available at the account level, making it difficult to evaluate cross-account performance in a single view.

Google says advertisers can now track metrics like impression share, overlap rate, and outranking share over time with charts, identify shifts in auction performance and analyze the metrics with a time comparison, and compare performance across retail product categories by segmenting the auction insights report.
