Google introduces new Data Exclusion controls for Smart Bidding in Google Ads
Data Exclusions ensures Smart Bidding uses accurate data to set the right bids.
Google last week introduced new Data Exclusion controls for Smart Bidding in Google Ads. Data Exclusions enables advertisers to exclude a specific date range from being used by Smart Bidding.
The Data Exclusions work in Search, Shopping, and Display campaigns.
Google says that Data Exclusions ensures Smart Bidding uses accurate data to set the right bids, for example, when website conversion tracking breaks and underreports conversions for 3 days.
Smart Bidding uses historic conversion rates to help calculate auction-time bids, but to work properly, it needs that the website works continuously or that the tagging is firing always correctly.
