Google introduces the ability to download messages as .EML in Gmail

Google today announced that users have now the ability to download messages as .EML in Gmail.  This option is available by default in all G Suite editions, in a roll out that is taking place this week.

According to Google, EML format is recognized by other email clients, allowing users to view the Gmail content along with attachments within these clients. In addition, with this functionality users can now add these downloaded messages as attachments in their emails.

Google also introduced 2 new features in Gmail this week: Undo/Redo and Strikethrough. Undo/Redo is now available on the compose view, and strikethrough, a visual cue that something has been completed or can be used as an edit suggestion, is also now available.
