Google updates Gambling and Games Policy in Mozambique

Google is updating its Gambling and Games policy for Mozambique, effective February 7, 2024. The key changes include:

• No More Online Casino Ads: Google will no longer accept applications for certification to run ads for online casinos in Mozambique.
• Enhanced Restrictions on Online Gambling Ads: Google will tighten its restrictions on online gambling ads, focusing on licensed operators only. Only ads for online bingo, lotteries, sports betting, and websites providing information about or comparing licensed gambling services in Mozambique will be allowed.
• Stricter Certification Requirements: Advertisers of online gambling products will need to undergo a more rigorous certification process to ensure compliance with Google's policies. This includes providing detailed information about their operations and financial standing.
