Spotify this year rolled out call-to-action (CTA) cards on podcast ads in the Spotify apps. The roll out started in January, but only in the United States.
Spotify says CTA cards make podcast ads interactive for the first time and allow listeners to directly discover products and services of interest without having to remember promo codes.
According to the first quarter earnings report, at the end of Q1, Spotify had 4.0 million podcasts on the platform (up from 3.6 million at the end of Q4). According to Spotify, over 85% of new podcast creation happened on Spotify’s Anchor platform.
CTA cards for Podcast Ads are available across select Spotify Original & Exclusive podcasts in the U.S. and via Spotify Ads.
