Amazon announces first-ever "Climate Pledge Friendly Day" for Earth Month
This dedicated event, held during Earth Month, will offer deals on a wide range of products certified under Amazon's Climate Pledge Friendly (CPF) program.
Responding to growing consumer demand for environmentally conscious products, Amazon is launching its first-ever "Climate Pledge Friendly Day" on April 15th.
This dedicated event, held during Earth Month, will offer deals on a wide range of products certified under Amazon's Climate Pledge Friendly (CPF) program.
Amazon's move highlights the increasing importance of sustainability to shoppers. A recent study by Amazon Ads found that 63% of U.S. consumers actively seek out brands demonstrating sustainable practices. The Climate Pledge Friendly program, launched in 2019 as part of Amazon's commitment to net-zero carbon by 2040, makes it easier for customers to identify products with recognized sustainability certifications.
The 24-hour Climate Pledge Friendly Day will feature deals on CPF products across categories like grocery, beauty, home, and electronics. Amazon is also revamping its online CPF shopping experience to improve product discoverability and program awareness.
“Our customers are looking for more-sustainable items, and this event will make it easier for them find and save on CPF-badged products in April,” said Nancy Wine, director of U.S. grocery advertising.
Amazon Ads is offering a suite of Earth Month-themed advertising options for brands to promote CPF products and sustainability initiatives. These include on-site sponsorships, display/video/audio packages, and customizable Streaming TV creative templates for effective storytelling.
Amazon's efforts underscore the growing industry-wide focus on sustainability. The company's participation in the Ad Net Zero initiative demonstrates its commitment to reducing the advertising industry's carbon footprint.
