Facebook is making significant changes to the Page Insights API, including the deprecation of 89 Page Insights metrics, the company announced this week. These changes will take effect on March 14, 2024, so it's important for marketers who use the API to plan ahead and make any necessary adjustments to their strategies.
As a result of the migration from Classic Pages to the new Pages experience on Facebook, the Page Insights tab for classic Pages has been fully deprecated as of November 1, 2023.
As part of this deprecation, 89 Page Insights metrics will be deprecated on March 14, 2024. These metrics may no longer be accurate or reliable, and they may not be compatible with the new Pages experience.
To avoid disruption, Meta advises advertisers to review the list of deprecated metrics to ensure business transitions. The list of deprecated metrics is available on the Facebook Developer Portal.
