PubMatic this week forged a partnership with global platform Roblox (NYSE: RBLX). The goal of this alliance is to introduce programmatic video ads to Roblox, offering brands a new way to reach the platform's audience.
This partnership provides brands with direct access to Roblox's community of over 71 million daily active users, with a significant portion of that audience being the desirable Gen Z demographic. Roblox will benefit from advertising demand and scaled revenue streams.
According to Pubmatic, programmatic ads will adhere to strict Community Standards and Advertising Standards, with clear distinctions made between ads and organic content. Roblox ads will be shown exclusively to users 13 and older.
Roblox's immersive video ads are currently in alpha testing, with a general release to advertisers planned for later this year. Distribution will be through PubMatic's platform, using various methods like programmatic guaranteed, PMPs, auction packages, and open exchange deals to maximize reach and control.
