Taboola last month announced is bringing content recommendations into vivo android smartphones. Taboola formed a partnership with vivo, the 5th largest smartphone manufacturer in the world, to boost the Taboola Newss audience in Asia.

Previously this year, Taboola announced a deal with ZTE, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, to bring Taboola News into their manufactured smartphones.

"We’ve created partnerships with thousands of quality publishers in 50 markets around the world. By leveraging our partnerships and our reach in order to partner with OEMs/carriers—we intend to help users access information that can enrich their lives, create engaging and revenue generating experiences for OEM/Carriers, and last but not least—move hundreds of millions of people to quality publishers, making the open web not only survive, but thrive," said Adam Singolda, Taboola CEO.

How does Taboola monetize Taboola News?

Taboola and the carriers keep a percentage of the revenue they make when a user clicks on one of Taboola’s recommended links on their websites.

Publishers that don’t already have deals with Taboola can pay into an automatic bidding system to have their links included.
