Amazon has scheduled 23 live sports events on Prime Video in the United States for November 2026, and four of them fall on one night: Friday, November 27, the day after Thanksgiving. The month's guide, published by Amazon on October 30, lists four Thursday Night Football broadcasts, eight NBA games in Friday doubleheaders, ten Seattle Kraken hockey games and one ONE Championship card, alongside ten Prime Original premieres led by the third season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power on November 11 and Blade Runner 2099 on November 25. Every one of those sporting events sits inside an ad-supported service, and Amazon's own terms say live sport can carry advertising even for viewers who pay to remove it.

In Short

Amazon has published the list of what is coming to Prime Video in the US in November, and it includes 23 live sports events plus new shows such as The Rings of Power and Blade Runner 2099. On the Friday after Thanksgiving, which is one of the biggest shopping days of the year, Prime Video will show an NFL game, two NBA games and a hockey game in a single evening. Almost all of this comes with ads, even for people who pay extra to avoid them elsewhere on the service, so the month gives Amazon a lot of live audiences to sell to advertisers during the holiday season.

Four games on one Friday

The densest night of the month is November 27. According to Amazon's schedule, the Miami Heat play the New York Knicks at 7 p.m. ET, the Seattle Kraken visit the Edmonton Oilers at 8 p.m. ET, the Denver Broncos play the Pittsburgh Steelers at 8:15 p.m. ET, and the Los Angeles Lakers face the San Antonio Spurs at 9:30 p.m. ET. The broadcasts overlap: the NFL kickoff comes while the first basketball game is still being played. The Kraken game is regional, available only to Prime members in Washington, Oregon and Alaska, but the other three are national.

That Friday is Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 26. Amazon lists the Broncos-Steelers game under its Thursday Night Football heading even though it is played on a Friday, and the November schedule shows no Prime Video game on Thanksgiving itself. The guide does not describe the Friday fixture as a holiday event, and it gives no information on pricing, sponsorship or ad load for any game.

Amazon occupies both sides of that night. It is a retailer in the middle of the holiday shopping season, and it is the streaming service carrying the evening's NFL game and a basketball doubleheader. Shopping and video have converged inside its ad products for some time: at its May upfront, Amazon Ads presented Dynamic TV Creative, a format that changes Prime Video interactive ads based on shopping signals. Whether any of that inventory is being sold specifically around November 27 is not something the schedule addresses.

November 27 is not the only crowded night. On Friday, November 6, Prime Video carries the Philadelphia 76ers at the Cleveland Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. ET, a ONE Championship card, Gabriel vs. Rasulov, at 9 p.m. ET, and the Portland Trail Blazers at the Los Angeles Lakers at 10 p.m. ET. On Thursday, November 19, the Indianapolis Colts visit the Houston Texans at 8:15 p.m. ET while viewers in the Kraken's home region also have the Vancouver Canucks at Seattle at 9:40 p.m. ET.

Twenty-three events, down from 26

The November total is lower than October's. PPC Land counted 26 live events in Amazon's October schedule: five Thursday Night Football games, four NBA games, three NWSL matches, thirteen Kraken games and one ONE Championship card. The fall to 23 is mostly calendar. October had five Thursdays; November has four, and one of them is Thanksgiving. The NWSL drops out of the schedule entirely in November, and the Kraken total falls from 13 to 10.

Basketball moves the other way. The NBA count doubles from four to eight. The season opened on October 23, and November is its first full month, with a Prime Video doubleheader every Friday. Amazon's breakdown for the month:

  • Thursday Night Football: four games, all at 8:15 p.m. ET. Jacksonville Jaguars at Baltimore Ravens (November 5), Washington Commanders at New York Giants (November 12), Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans (November 19) and Denver Broncos at Pittsburgh Steelers (Friday, November 27).
  • NBA on Prime: eight games across four Friday doubleheaders on November 6, 13, 20 and 27.
  • Seattle Kraken: ten games between November 4 and November 28, for Prime members in Washington, Oregon and Alaska.
  • ONE Championship: one card, on November 6.

The NBA games follow a pattern. According to Amazon, "The defending champion Knicks, runner-up Spurs, Luka and the Lakers, and LeBron's 76ers are featured throughout Prime Video's 67-game slate." In November the Knicks appear twice (at the Indiana Pacers on November 13, home to the Heat on November 27), as do the Spurs (home to the Golden State Warriors on November 13 and to the Lakers on November 27) and the Lakers (home to Portland on November 6, at San Antonio on November 27). The 76ers appear once. The two June finalists, whose series Prime Video streamed in at least 17 countries, both play on Black Friday night.

The 67-game figure is Amazon's description of the 2026-27 season. When the NBA and Amazon signed their 11-year agreement in July 2024, PPC Land reported 66 exclusive regular-season games a year. The guide does not explain the difference.

The Kraken games follow their own clock. Start times range from noon ET on Thursday, November 12, against the Carolina Hurricanes, to 10 p.m. ET for three late games. According to Amazon, "Prime members in Washington, Oregon, and Alaska can stream select Seattle Kraken games for free during the NHL season." Seven of the ten are home games. The three road games are at Carolina on November 14, two days after the noon meeting in Seattle, at San Jose on November 21 and at Edmonton on Black Friday.

Across the month, Prime Video carries live sport on 14 of 30 days, by PPC Land's count. Thirteen of the 23 events are national; the ten Kraken games are regional.

Audiences Amazon has disclosed

Amazon does not publish audience figures in its monthly guides, but it has released several in recent weeks. In its third-quarter results on October 29, Amazon said Thursday Night Football averaged 17.7 million viewers through six games, citing Nielsen, which it called its best start and a 16% increase over the previous season's full-season average. The same release said the NBA's season-opening doubleheader drew more than two million US viewers, more than double the first season's full-season average, also according to Nielsen.

For the 2025 season, Thursday Night Football averaged more than 15 million viewers on Prime Video, Amazon said in February, when it also reported an average ad-supported audience of 315 million viewers globally in the fourth quarter of 2025. The NBA's first Prime Video season peaked at 6.5 million US viewers for Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Those figures sit alongside advertising results that have slowed. Amazon's advertising services revenue reached $19.64 billion in the third quarter of 2026, up 10.9% as reported and 12% at constant currency, after 26% growth in the second quarter. Much of that swing came from Prime Day's move into June. Amazon expects advertising revenue growth in the high teens in the fourth quarter, which includes the whole of the November schedule. The October 29 release gave no revenue figure for Prime Video ads.

On the second-quarter call in July, Andy Jassy said inventory on Thursday Night Football, the NBA, the WNBA and NASCAR had sold out, and that more than 30 advertisers were new to the NBA in its first year on Prime Video. In May, Alan Moss, Amazon Ads' vice president of global advertising sales, described Prime Video and live sports as one business, saying the NFL deal brought in 80 net new advertisers and that the NBA rights turned Amazon into a year-round sports network.

Ads on every live event

Prime Video has carried advertising by default in the US since January 2024, when Amazon launched Prime Video ads and estimated its US monthly audience at 115 million viewers. That makes Prime Video an ad-supported video on demand service for most of its audience, with the ad-free option as a paid add-on.

The price of that add-on rose in April. Amazon replaced its $2.99 monthly ad-free option with Prime Video Ultra at $4.99 a month from April 10, 2026, a 67% increase. Ultra's terms state that live TV, live sports and select other content may still carry ads for Ultra subscribers. For November, that means the 23 events on the schedule can carry advertising whichever tier a viewer pays for. A subscriber who pays for Ultra to watch Blade Runner 2099 without ads has no such assurance for the Broncos and Steelers.

According to the guide, Prime Video remains included with an Amazon Prime membership, which costs $14.99 a month or $139 a year in the US, with discounted memberships for young adults and qualifying government assistance recipients. Those prices have not changed since the Ultra rebrand.

The structure matters for how inventory is valued. Live sport gathers large audiences at the same moment, which is why it has long commanded a premium in television advertising. Amazon now pairs that with on-demand originals and a large library, all on one connected TV app. The weekly rhythm in November makes the pattern visible: football on Thursday, basketball on Friday, and the most promoted premieres on Wednesday.

Wednesday premieres, sports stories between the games

The three originals Amazon highlights at the top of its guide, and Madden, all premiere on Wednesdays: The Greatest on November 4, The Rings of Power on November 11, Madden on November 18 and Blade Runner 2099 on November 25. Each lands the day before a Thursday Night Football broadcast, apart from Blade Runner 2099, which arrives the day before Thanksgiving, when there is no Prime Video game. Amazon does not explain the scheduling.

Three of the ten originals are about sport.

The Greatest premieres on November 4. Amazon describes it as "the first authorized scripted series about the life of Muhammad Ali," executive produced by Lonnie Ali, "the wife of the late luminary." According to Amazon, it offers "unprecedented access" and goes "beyond the amazing victories and defeats that made Ali a legend." Amazon MGM Studios lists the series for worldwide release.

Terrell & T.O., a feature-length documentary on the former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens, arrives on November 5, the same day as the Jaguars-Ravens game. Amazon describes Owens as "one of the most accomplished and polarizing players in NFL history," and says the film traces "his extraordinary rise, the controversy that followed him at every turn, and his ongoing personal evolution." Amazon MGM Studios' release calendar classifies it under sports rather than as an original series or film.

Madden, the film about John Madden, follows on November 18. It covers, in Amazon's words, "John Madden's journey from a Super Bowl-winning partnership with Al Davis and the Raiders, to becoming football's most recognizable voice, to building the worldwide Madden NFL video game." When Amazon announced the date in August, the plan was for Madden to stream globally from November 18, with no theatrical window. Amazon MGM Studios' release calendar now lists the film as "In Select Theaters On November 18, 2026," the same day it arrives on Prime Video worldwide. The consumer guide for November mentions only the streaming date.

The scripted slate

The Rings of Power returns on November 11, with Middle-earth "plunged into all-out war five years after the fall of Eregion," according to Amazon. The guide gives only the premiere date. Amazon set out the release pattern in October: four episodes on November 11, two on November 18 and the final two on November 25. The season's last episodes therefore land on the same Wednesday as Blade Runner 2099. Three days later, on November 28, Prime Video adds the 2024 film The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim to its library. Amazon announced the season's date at its May 11 upfront, where it ordered Fourth Wing and dated The Rings of Power.

Blade Runner 2099 begins on November 25. According to Amazon, the series is set "Fifty years after the events of Blade Runner 2049," in a Los Angeles that "has been reborn - just not by humanity." Hunter Schafer plays Cora, a fugitive who takes on the identity of a Blade Runner, and Michelle Yeoh plays Olwen, a Replicant who is days from dying. The release calendar lists it as a worldwide original series.

The Chosen season 6 starts on Sunday, November 15. Amazon describes it as capturing "the historic events of Jesus' final day." The release calendar does not list it as worldwide: its distribution column names Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, New Zealand, Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa. The season streams on Prime Video four months before its finale film, with three episodes on November 15 and one a week until December 6.

Perfect Liars, a film released on November 20, is based on Alex Mírez's Wattpad novel, which Amazon calls a "Wattpad sensation with more than 140 million reads." Jude Derry enrolls at Tagus University to infiltrate the Cash brothers' circle and find the truth about her brother's death. It is the second Wattpad adaptation from Amazon in a month, after the German film Drive, released worldwide on October 28.

Three further originals complete the list. Campus Drivers, a romance set at Belrose University, carries a November 6 date in the consumer guide; Amazon MGM Studios' release calendar lists it only as "November 2026," without a day. Clashing Through the Snow, a holiday story about two rival publishing editors stranded at an airport by a snowstorm, arrives on November 23. The Boy Who Stole Billions?, a three-part docuseries on Sam Bankman-Fried, closes the month on November 30. According to Amazon, Bankman-Fried "ran a $32 billion crypto empire until he was convicted of stealing $8 billion in customer funds," and the series features him telling his story "from prison" for the first time, with interviews from those who built FTX with him.

Titles outside the US guide

The release calendar lists several November titles that do not appear in the US consumer guide. LOL: Last One Laughing Argentina season 3 returns on November 20 for worldwide release; a Prime Video release dated October 29 names Marcelo Tinelli as its new host. Nine to Six season 1 arrives on November 25, released worldwide with the exception of mainland China and South Korea.

Two MGM+ series also fall in the month: The Institute season 2 on November 8, in markets including Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and the Netherlands, and the four-part music docuseries New Wave on November 23, in the US only. MGM+ is a separate SVOD service, ad-free and priced at $7.99 a month or $61.99 a year in the US.

A library built for the holidays

The library carries most of the month's seasonal programming. On November 1, according to Amazon, 104 titles join Prime Video in the US, including all five seasons of iZombie. Twenty-two have "Christmas" or "Santa" in their names, from Christmas in Connecticut (1945) to Dear Santa (2024), and the list also includes Elf, Scrooged, Jingle All the Way, Deck the Halls and The Nativity Story. Comedies such as Mean Girls, Twins and Tower Heist, and older titles such as Duck Soup, Some Like It Hot, In the Heat of the Night and The Manchurian Candidate, fill out the batch.

Later additions are sparse. The Book of Clarence (2024) arrives on November 11, the first two seasons of the 2023 Frasier on November 14, They Will Kill You (2026) on November 20, and The War of the Rohirrim on November 28.

What comes next

Amazon MGM Studios' release calendar already lists December. The Man with the Bag, a film dated at the May upfront, arrives on December 2. Quiz from God season 1 follows on December 4. Maxton Hall - The World Between Us season 3 arrives on December 9, the season for which Amazon has said it will include AI lip-sync dubbing. Sacred Jewel season 1 carries only a "December 2026" date.

The calendar runs into 2027. Bosch: Start of Watch premieres on MGM+ on Sunday, January 10, 2027, according to a first-look release MGM+ issued on October 29. Prime Video has also set January 13, 2027 for Fallout Shelter: The Experiment, a reality competition with a $1 million prize. God of War, Tomb Raider and Vought Rising appear on the calendar with no day attached.

Amazon's fourth-quarter results will cover the whole of the November schedule and show whether advertising growth reaches the high teens Amazon has guided to. Whether those results separate Prime Video or live sport from the rest of the ad business is a question the schedule itself cannot answer.

Why it matters for marketers

For advertisers, the November schedule is a supply story. Amazon sells much of its video inventory in advance at its upfront, and live sport is the part of that inventory where audiences are largest and most predictable. Eight NBA games and four NFL games in a single month, three of them on the evening of Black Friday, give Amazon the kind of concentrated reach that linear networks have traditionally sold at a premium during the holiday quarter.

The Ultra terms make that supply larger than the subscriber split suggests. A viewer who pays $4.99 a month to avoid ads can still see them during Broncos-Steelers. The ad load on those broadcasts, the minutes of advertising per hour, is not disclosed in the schedule or in Amazon's quarterly results.

For publishers and rival streamers, the month shows how Amazon uses its scripted slate around its rights. A football documentary arrives on a Thursday Night Football day and the Madden film on the day before another; the most promoted premieres land on the eve of Thursday games; the holiday library lands on the first day of the month. None of the November material gives audience figures for any of it, and Amazon's weekly Top 10 rankings, which cover only originals, exclude live sport entirely.
